Hi

Wife has a 2016 Corsa se, when I was driving it the other day I noticed that the clutch squeeks when operating and when in reverse it judder a bit.

Have booked in for service in a couple of weeks and wondered 1. If it is a problem 2.would it be covered under warranty?

I have the same issue.

They blamed it 1) on my induction kit 2) changing gear at to low revs. Had a argument for a good 45 minutes about how it isn't either of those things. They said to go away and test it again and if it is still happening then come back. I will be booking it in again soon as it still happens and yes it will be covered by warranty if you still have it.

So bit of advice here

Car went into Arnold Clark Vauxhall 2 weeks ago for service and I reported the fault, which they confirmed. They have spoke to Vauxhall who are advising to strip out the gear box and clutch to see what is issue. If warranty no problem, if not they are going to charge me £380 for 3.5 hours labour then the repair.

Car has only just done 14,000

I've had the squeaky clutch issue myself from time to time, however it's not really consistent enough to annoy me to the point where I'd want to get someone to take a look at it. If I'm honest, I haven't really heard it since my car was taken in for its last service (Maybe about a month ago?) so I'm guessing it wasn't that big of an issue in the first place.

Something strange that did happen yesterday though - after dropping a friend off, I put the car into 1st to set off again, found the bite and out of nowhere was a rather loud "bang" and the car stalled. I quickly got out to inspect to front of my vehicle as it sounded like I had hit something but there was nothing there for me to have hit.

Bit of a strange one, but since then my car has been functioning just fine and nothing seems out of place...

Any update on this?

No, was hoping for some advice or someone having same issues and been resolved. Can't afford to put in as we all know they will blame driving style and charge me as a clutch misuse.

Love to know where they get £380 just to look from?
Unfortunately in case like this the only way to tackle VX is to have the clutch assembly independently inspected and have a report produced

Granted VX will want to do their own inspection and produce a counter report so ultimately would have to go to small claims court for final decision
