Re: Rattle on dashboard

They are fairly solid clips.

I’ve had mine apart to swap from R3 to R4. You will need to remove the top dash trim (the coloured part) first, it’s best to start prying that from the steering wheel end but be careful it doesn’t snap above where the R4 is as it’s quite thin at that point.

Re: Heya

I’ve done the R4 retrofit, all worked ok no problems

I was one of the early people to do it and got an R4 from a written off vehicle and sent it to him

The only way would be to retro fit the R4 and use Car Play or Android Auto

Re: Spare wheel

A 16 inch space saver would fit from an Astra and would also sit in the well and not raise the carpet.

I've not tried a normal width wheel but others say that it raises the carpet slightly.

Re: Soon to be new owner

I hit a muntjac dear with my car at low speed. Whilst the cosmetic damage was limited to a cracked number plate and very minor damage to the front grilles, it turned out that the bumper flexed on impact and the result was that the intercooler, radiator and condenser were bent with them being pushed ...

Re: Air Con refill....

I've never measured the temperature but mine is very cold. A day like today it gets too cold after a while and you have to adjust.

My dads fiesta is the same when set to low (climate control in that) although it takes longer to get that cold.
