Re: 4th year service

It's definitely worth negotiating on price, usually they'll move a little if it means they get your money/business. If your having the MOT done at the same time, make sure your not being charged full price for this. Most dealers do it for £27-30 when done at the same time as a service. Full price i...

Re: Can I switch dealerships during warranty?

Yes of course you can. I had to a few years ago when I owned a Corsa D VXR. The gearbox was making a grinding noise and the dealer I bought it from said it was normal and noise from the diff it had (it was the Nurburg edition with the fancy drexler lsd). Took it to another dealer down the road and t...

Re: Help with parts :/ do vxr parts fit my 1.4T?

Airtec do an intercooler specifically for the 1.4T Enhance performance do a de-cat and exhaust system for the 1.4T The above should see 190-200bhp when mapped with good quality fuel As mentioned, it's worth looking at the suspension and brakes because as standard they aren't great. You don't need to...

Re: Which spec and where to find?

The 1.4Ts are quite a punchy unit. They are heavily restricted by the factory ECU tune in the Corsa E, unless you've got the red/white/black edition which come in around 150bhp. It's exactly the same engine, just ECU tune that dictates the 50bhp power difference. Remapped the 1.4T goes to about 170-...

Re: Which spec and where to find?

If you want a Corsa E with the body kit you have a choice of the Limited Edition or the SRI VX-Line trim. Is there a reason you only want the 1 litre turbo engine? What about the 1.4 litre turbo? (more torque as standard and more potential remapped). That should open up a lot more examples for you a...

Re: 1.4 non turbo mods

Echo what others have said. You'll prob need a remap (£300), air filter (£50) and free flowing exhaust (£400-500) to push 100-110bhp (I think that's what the 1.4na map to). It will make a difference. The question is are you planning to keep the car or get rid at the earliest opportunity for somethin...

Re: Anyone do their own service?

I've done the oil/filter on mine a few month ago between services and it's fairly painless. The oil filter housing is in the engine bay so that's nice and easy. Just need to jack the car up a bit to get at the sump plug. So long as you've the tools to do it yourself I'd say go ahead. Can save a fort...

Re: Which corsa e should I buy?

Given what the car is going to be used for. My brain would go with the 1.4 75bhp version. It's insurance group 3 vs 11 for the 1 litre turbo. So that's a no brainer. There is also far less to go wrong given it's a traditional tried and tested 4 cylinder naturally aspirated engine. Could throw the 1....
