Re: Axle Noise

Could also be thinner metals on the E for "cost saving" and less insulation on the panels.
Think it's just something you'll have to live with unfortunately.

Re: Axle Noise

Refinement and road noise isn't the best on the Corsa E. I thought a wheel bearing was knackered when I first got it with how loud it is at speed. It's worse with the 17 inch alloys compared to the 16 inch apparently. It would be worth having the wheel bearings checked to rule those out. But yeah, t...

Re: New Corsa F Driven

I think it maybe a grower. A lot of people didn't like the Corsa E when it first came out. The interior is definitely a lot more modern. The outgoing Corsa E is based on the Corsa D hull which goes back to 2007 so really does show it's age in areas. I would imagine the new one is a lot more refined ...

Re: Steering issues - alignment checked

Take it somewhere else who knows what they're doing and for a second opinion. Just because a garage has a fancy alignment machine doesn't mean the operator is any good. I would take it to a proper mechanic over a tyre place. I had a problem when I had two new tyres put on last year, I had the alignm...

Re: Cold Start problem

Sensors can fail at any age. I've seen sensors fail on cars a few months old! Sometimes you just get unlucky. There are other cars that go for tens of thousands of miles without any issues. Nice easy and relatively cheap fix there though. Like you say it could have been expensive just throwing parts...

Re: MOT Failures with a Corsa E

Mine passed it's 4th MOT no issues back in October last year. Common ones as they get older will be brakes and suspension related components (bushes, springs, struts). As said above you can check the rac link for the things they look for/check and make sure those areas aren't going to be an issue be...

Just to add I could potentially post this but you would be looking at around £60 for a fully insured courier.
Thanks.

Re: My 1.4T remap review.

Agreed, a remap is the best £ for £ modification you can do on the 1.4 Turbos. I had mine done at SGR in Manchester over a year ago now and their Dyno read 179bhp and 203lbft on an otherwise standard car also running Tesco Momentum 99 fuel. Given some of the things I can keep pace with on the road, ...
