Need to establish where the leak is coming from and the cause before it can be deemed non warranty.

Surprised you didn't detect this earlier as would of smelled foisty being that damp

Could be anything.

In my case it was faulty throttle sensor which required new accelerator pedal unit

Of course it will as it also activates the rear heated windscreen as well.

Try turning off headlights /fan to reduce power consumption

Cost pure and simple

Replacement cost around £500 with the sensors

Also overtime the heating element will fail.

You should have replaced the pedal as clearly there is a fault as VX modified the part

It may be the throttle sensor but you should get an OBD2 code reader to get the fault code and confirm what it is
