Re: How do i identify which Model I own

You'd want the VIN, see here some typical locations for it: https://www.wikihow.com/Find-the-Chassis-and-Engine-Number Then there are sites that can 'decode' the VIN, like https://www.vindecoderz.com/EN/Opel/CORSA , however they may or may not have all the latest models updated or the info may be in...

Re: Oil Life remaining?

I did some digging around, and I believe is calculated on a few variables: * number of engine starts (small trips really dig into the oil life) * time engine is run cold (see above) * engine revolutions (not mileage, also routinely ragging it between stop lights with a cold engine is perfect if you ...

Re: Projection device not connected - help

Some checks: 1. Do check/confirm that you have installed Android Auto App on the phone 2. Did you use the phone's original USB cable to connect ? if not, do try. 3. If the original cable didn't work, can you connect the phone to a computer/laptop for data transfer ? If not, then cable may be damaged...

Re: Can you charge your phone and use Bluetooth at the same time?

On the topic of USB power struggles ... I'm using my Samsung S6 on the R4 intelilink's USB, on almost full brightness, with waze (which taxes internet and GPS at the same time). The battery goes up while all this go on. Some notes tho: * Cable length: I used for a long time a rather long cable and t...

Re: Do you recommend the Corsa?

One more vote for the 1.4T petrol engine. Outside of the OPC/vxr and the 150 bhp offered in mainland europe, this should be the highest 'real' power engine available for the corsa. The '5 people pulling power' comes from it's 200 Nm torque at only 1800 RPM. The 1.0 liter engines may look nice with th...

Re: Waze finally working in intellilink system in our corsa!

Tried it yesterday, worked ok (simply downloaded the .133 beta from the apk mirror site and installed it from the downloaded folder).

Really missed the lack of speed limit / actual speed. Hope it makes a comeback in the later versions.

Re: Broke Headlight Holder

Bulb comes out when you rotate it, counterclockwise I believe. Also word of caution: DO NOT TOUCH THE BULB GLASS. If you did, wipe off any fingerprints with some alcohol, any residue on the bulb glass leads to a colder spot when the bulb is lit, and this can drastically shorten the bulb life.

Re: Where has my coolant gone

1stopel, the 130 - 110 deg.C coolant temperatures means the engine was overheating ... Now the 1.4t engine with it's start/stop technology, may be a little more tolerant of a FEW temperature excursions. I believe I red somewhere it has some special self-lubricating seals and bushings in the engine (...

Re: Where has my coolant gone

Another possibility is a hairline crack in the head gasket or the engine block. When the engine is cold, the crack can seal itself (so no water reaches the oil pan while the car is idle). Then, when the engine gets warm, it 'activates', and a small quantity of water turns to steam in the affected cy...

1.4T - increasing oil level during cold weather + short trips

Hello all Finally got around to making an account after long term lurking :D I wish to bring the community's attention some findings on a possible engine oil fuel dilution in cold weather. Some background: I got the car on July 2016, for a occasional commute over 30 miles round trip, with about 45 m...
