Re: Horrendous crackling noise from engine

Like the others have said, issue with the starter motor, might just need taking out and cleaning.
Done this in older cars, the mechanism was covered in clutch dust, bit like brake dust you get on the wheels.

Re: How to know which brake pads without the car

I would then presume it has the 257mm front discs, but don't quote me on that, Let's see if some one can confirm this 100% In the end I had to take a disc and pad into the local motorist shop to find out which one was correct, that's how I know there is 3 sizes Thinking the 1.2 and 1.4 have the 257m...

Re: How to know which brake pads without the car

I had a similarly issue a few weeks ago, I found out there is 3 sizes of front discs
Don't quote me on this, sure the size is 257mm 284mm and 305mm

I have the 1l turbo and the discs are 284mm

So what is the engine size, of the car, you could then work out the correct disc pads

Re: Hello

Hello,
Don't worry about the mpg, I find in the winter months it does drop,
With my 1L turbo I get around 48-52mpg around town in the summer months, but in winter that drops to 38-42 ish

Re: Computer randomly changes speed to timer

Mine does the same, maybe once a week it will switch to timer, like you said, no real problem, must be a glitch within the software.

Re: Dashcam

A few pictures, like I said, took it under the roof lining, then down by the A pillow.

Re: Dashcam

I put my dash cam next to the rear view mirror, going towards the passenger side, I tucked the wire up along the roof lining ( it will just push in) then down the side of the A pillow, Then I tucked the wire behind the door rubber and into the glove box. I will take a couple of pictures and post the...
