The oil sensors aren't great, I had my service done in November 2019 and its not at 78% after 3,000 miles
There's no oil sensors in the engines. It's an algorithm in the instrument that calculates, based on your driving, how the oil is.

Re: easytronic gearchange

Easytronic gearboxes are basically just manual boxes with a computer bolted on top of it to do the shifts. The automatic gearbox in the new Corsa F and the new 208 is the PSA EAT8 which is build by Aisin in Japan (Toyota owned company) and is a real automatic box with torque converter and planetary ...

Re: easytronic gearchange

2020 Corsa E? Are you thinking of the F model, because the E is about to be discontinued in favor of the new PSA based F model.

Re: R3 to r4 retrofit

Re: 1.4l 75bhp remap?

Was told by my local remapping company the best I can expect to see is 10bhp rise as they can’t push the non-turbo engines further? Well then your local remapping company don't know what the heck they are talking about. As i wrote in my previous comment, as a rule of thumb it is not worth remapping...

Re: 1.4l 75bhp remap?

A rule of thumb is that it's not worth remapping N/A engines, however this one is a software restricted version of the 100bhp version.
So go ahead and get a remap for you car, you are gonna see at least 25bhp increase in power.

Re: Dead battery

You do not want to replace your AGM with a standard flooded lead acid! First of all, the charging system is set up to AGM which requires a higher charging voltage, and that voltage will damage a standard battery. Second, AGMs are superior in all parameters, including the life time you would expect f...

Re: Handbrake warning light

Perfectly normal behavior for the car. The light goes out approx. 30 seconds after you lock the car. (when the BCM goes into sleep mode)

Would a car pass its MOT test with that message though?
Probably not. But in my opinion would the best option be to disconnect the negative terminal from the battery for half an hour, which resets the CAN-bus network and all these strange kind of software bugs.
