Hi. Does a faulty ambient air temperature sensor stop the AC compressor clutch from engaging?. I have no leaks. The compressor won't engage. It have a 65 plate Corsa 1.4 sri

Sorry should have said my outside air temperature often gives wild readings

Update. It was my air temperature sensor. Replaced the sensor and AC now kicks in when switched on
