Opel has announced the 2015 Corsa will be priced from €11,980 in Germany. This roughly equates to £9,500 however Vauxhall have said UK pricing will not be officially announced until October 2nd.

The base three-door model fitted with the 69hp (70PS) 1.2-liter petrol engine to start from €11,980. The cheapest diesel-powered Corsa fitted with the 74hp (75PS) 1.3 CDTI starts at €14,930.

For customers who want more practicality, the five-door version of the new Corsa costs €750 ($988) on top of the price of each edition.

Whatever we think of it it will sell well in the UK and certain other markets. The fact that it is a facelift means that development costs will have been a lot lower for GM and so it will make a decent margin, ad long as it is not forced to over-do the marketing spend just to prop up sales ...
