I had to replace the whole headlight but the clips are completely different from the original one. How are these retainer clips supposed to secure the bulb itself?

Ahh mate, This was a pain in the ass for me lol! I know this videos an older model but it helped me figure out hows it actually positioned

The bent bit of the clip goes where the screw is and is screwed down in place and then you place the other side into the hole to secure the metal bit of the bulb fitting is in place. (sorry for the bad explanation lol)
