You're in the same position as myself - my 03 Golf being my first car had it almost a year but I've been through 2 new front n/s tyres, an alloy refurb so the tyre stayed on, 2 new window clips as the windows fell inside the door, 2 wiper blades, 3 sets of bulbs, back wiper doesn't do anything but it has to live till September when my white LE arrives! Argh!
