2015 1.4 Corsa SRI in Pepperdust

Post by MattyDTD » Sun Feb 17, 2019 10:01 pm

Had the car 2 months. Absolutely love it! The intellilink R3.0 leaves a lot to be desired so this is something i may upgrade when i have the funds. Also planning on blacking out the chrome parts and maybe going to lower it by 30mm front and back. ;)

The colour for me really is what made me get this particular car, very quirky and different (only seen 1 other pepperdust corsa since having it).

Any ideas on good little upgrades i should look into?

P.s. Where can we get the corsaeforums sticker from please?

Thanks everyone!

The R4 Retrofit, Obviously!! https://intellilinkmods.co.uk Chris' Service is awesome and so worth it!

You could also de-chrome the grille and other chrome bits with black wrap if you want to.

Boot spoiler and side skirts from the SRi VX-Line maybe? (you'd still get away with £30 road tax too). I was a bit annoyed to find out my road tax was £130 because of the larger alloys, skirts and spoiler! The sales person kept that quiet until I'd signed.

The alloys from the white/red/black edition look nice too, I'm keeping an eye out for a set for mine as I just have the 17 inch SRi alloys on and they're a bit boring/plain.

Other cosmetics you could do:
-Wind deflectors
-LED bulb upgrade
-De-chrome

Performance mods:
-30mm Eibach springs (to improve the stance but also the handling)
-K&N panel filter
-Exhaust back box or cat back
-Remap

A lot of people say a remap is a waste of time on the 1.4NA and while I agree, you won't get a huge amount of power, it will make a difference to the way it feels to drive. Especially if you have the lower power version of the 1.4NA.
Think there is a 75bhp and a 90bhp version off the top of my head. Both are essentially the same and remap to around 110bhp.

All the above will probably add quite a bit to your insurance if your young, so that's worth thinking about.

What year is your Corsa?

if it's 17 plate then changes in VED were the reason for paying £140 nothing to do with trim

https://www.lookers.co.uk/news/road-tax ... 1st-april/

I own a 16 plate so managed to get the £30 tax before they changed to £140 for 17 plate onwards

Please tell me where you can get a n/a 75bhp engine remapped to 110bhp (46% gain) as most remappers only advertise 10% gain at best

Its a 65 plate. I did a bit of reading in to it at the time and the larger 17 inch alloys and body kit push it into the higher tax band compared to the SRi trim. I think it's like a 1-2kg/km difference bit it's enough to push it into the next band.

-1.4T (100bhp) SRi 3d (2 Oct 2014 - 31 Mar 2017) - £30 road tax
-1.4T (100bhp) SRi Vx-line 3d (31 Mar 2017 - 30 May 2018) - £140 road tax

For remapping the 1.4 N/A engine.

The 1.4 N/A engine in 75bhp or 90bhp variant is the same, there are no mechanical differences. So you see a larger gain with remapping the 75bhp variant than you do with the 90bhp variant.

Someone posted that they had their 75bhp mapped to 107bhp here > viewtopic.php?t=2834
Might be a few more examples of it being done on the Corsa E | Owners Club on Facebook too (it's a bit more active than this forum).

It's the same for the 1.4 Turbo engine. In SRi trim it's 100bhp from the factory. In white/red/black edition it's 150bhp from the factory. The only difference is the ECU mapping. So both variants remap to the same 170-180bhp. It's just you see a far larger % gain for the SRi trim as it's more restricted from the factory.
