Car Windows Steaming

Post by SDMAN786 » Tue Dec 29, 2015 10:41 pm

Just wandering if anyone else is having problems with the car windows steaming up. My windscreen steams up as well as my side windows (enough for my side mirrors to disappear) , so every 5 minutes i have to full blast the windscreen demister. anyone else? or is this just something that happens during the winter :? and is it worth letting my dealer know about it?

Could be how you have the fan settings if mine steam up I just put it on full windscreen and it clears straight away....my headlamps mist up fairly bad but I'm going to see if it's just a winter thing before I think about contacting the dealership

Mine steam up very badly.

I thought this was due to me not having air conditioning.

I bought some anti fog cleaner and I am going to give them a clean, see if it makes a difference.

I've not experienced any bad misting up in the 'E' compared with the last Corsa 'D' i had. What settings are using. At the moment i'm on a constant fan speed one with direction setting at screen or screen / footwell. I have noticed if i press the re-circ button it tends to mist up a bit.

Check you haven't left anything damp in the car or have you some water ingress maybe. I'm pretty happy with how the Corsa E has performed so far this winter. The last Corsa D i had was a nightmare for condensation.

We have not had winter in Glasgow yet, its like the summer

Its mainly my rear windows that steam up or all windows if I do not keep the fan on most of the time.

Mines havent really steamed up yet but its as you say, we haven't had a typical Glasgow winter this year

In any case I've ALWAYS got my interior fan on, on speed 2 pointed at the Windscreen and in the middle of hot and cold on the dial.

If you make sure you turn of the recirculation it will not mist up as this brings in fresh air.

Yes, by far the worst car I've seen for misting, it seems you always have to have your fan setting on atleast 1 pointing at the screen, if you turn it off - within 5 minutes maximum your side windows and the windscreen starts to get misty, it clears when you turn the blower on but only clears the screen where the elements are so I get two nice white stripes either side of my screen which refuse to go away

Windscreen blower on setting 1 is ideal even without a/c on
