well having a good look at that other thread where the indicator bulb has been replaced, its certainly aint the same bulb which vauxhall claims. but got a feeling the old git meant its a long life bulb which is the same as the corsa d. as i noticed that the bulb connections are different between them so may give another dealer a ring when i get 2 mins and ask for the price again.

but i cant get over how you gotta cut a hole in the unit to change the bulb then fit a cover. god knows what was going through the designers head when he thought of the design for the headlight unit, makes you think what the new corsa headlight will be like for changing bulbs lol

Does the new kit have a foam/rubber seal on the rear to prevent moisture getting in after cutting away at the reverse of the headlight assembly?
Really not ammused by this 'progress' in VX design.

They seem to be going backwards i jave driven minis most of driving life (been driving now for 20 years) and the earlier one were a seald unit. The later ones you could only hange the side light bulb. Bit the pricea were not that bad for a replaemwnt aftermarket set

So have been to Vauxhall again for a new fitted price of £321.60, waiting for a call back from my trusty garage from my Ka days but they said to expect £200+. In other fantasticness when my trusty garage was looking at it I noticed somebody has scuffed the front bumper and not left any sort of note and on the way home it's picked up an enormous nail in the tyre.

The car in now booked in at a local garage and I'll be paying £230, which is better than £320 I wish I just went to Halfords for £8 though.

Where can you get the cover from, trying to replace the bulb myself but cannot find the cover plate anywhere.

Thanks, Dylan.
