Flat Batteries in the morning

Post by Susan44 » Sun Apr 15, 2018 11:36 pm

Anyone else woke up to a flat battery? Happened to me three times now.
I finally caught the little sod when I checked if the car was locked tonight. It was locked, but the radio screen was lit up white and the brake warning light showing. i.e. system was not shut down.
By morning it would have been flat again.
Gotcha ya little b'strd! All because I had the audacity to turn the car round on the drive during the day.
Of course it will never be fixed. Unless you check every time it is locked that it shuts down it can happen any time. And a fault like that is unlikely to be diagnosed by the dealer especially as the Intellicrap R3 was changed in year 1.
Bought a battery-in-a-box jump starter from Argos now, save calling the RAC out.

Vx Infotainment team have no knowledge of this as a problem. You would think they were the experts.

My local Thurlow Nunn however do know of the problem and have asked me in for a software update and a courtesy car thrown in.
