I had to get a puncture repair done last week on my NSF tyre, I don't think National replaced they valve as they normally would any time the tyre is dismounted from the rim because the rubber valve and valve cap match the other factory ones on the car, which if they have changed the valve is unusual because usually at the very least the cap is different. (its a deep cap on the Corsa so would look odd if they had used the same cap on a different style/length of valve.

@hendry you say the valve stems are rubber. Are they flexible or stiff? I would expect them to be stiff but maybe rubber covered?
From what I am learning the longer TPMS caps are plastic to avoid corrosion with the stems, and have an O-ring unlike standard cheapo caps. I still haven't found an E to look at closely!

Thanks, thats clearly a bolted in solid stem. I just went to my dealer and I saw that very same valve on a Corsa E VXR, an Adam and a Zafira as well as a Corsa D in the car park. But the two other Corsa E in the showroom including an LE had floppy rubber stems. Obviously there is more than one type.

Mine has the floppy rubber ones with long plastic caps.

Now a question. The dealer set my tyres at 42/44 psi which is way over any of the ranges. If I drop them to the comfort setting 31psi all round, will the TPMS system complain when I drive off?

Thanks. Finally found a passage in paper manual said to turn off ignition when altering pressures.

I set mine to 38/36 and my dealer reset them all to 34 and made a point of telling me that they should be 34!!

I know you shouldn't go to the maximum, but the max on my tyres is 57 psi! I think 38/36 is perfectly fine!
