Ramair Cone Filter, around £25.. Sounds alright under acceleration.

Cobra Venom Corsa D backbox (Straight fit) - Sounds pretty good and only around £170ish new.

As above. Exhaust back box and a cone filter.

Bear in mind though that if it's under warranty still it'll void anything turbo/engine related.

I put a custom back box (3inch tail pipe) and a cone air filter on my 1.4 na and it sounds much better. Sounds much faster than it is. If your worried about voiding warranty some places will offer a lifetime warranty on all custom exhausts fitted and supplied by them so that could be something to consider.

It's not the warranty on the exhaust you've to worry about. IF the turbo was to fail they could claim it was due to the back pressure being altered from having a non-standard back box on there and they wouldn't pay out for it. Not something I'd personally want to risk!

True for 1.4T but 1.4NA doesnt have a turbo. There are other engine problems that could happen but less likely.

I've fitted a cone filter to the car, had one lying around from my old car, so decided to fit it. Easy installation, took about 10 minutes. Unscrewed the airbox lid, loosened the jubilee clamp and pulled the lid and filter out. The airbox is held into rubber grommets, so a little wiggling, and it pops right out.

I did want to see if i could keep the airbox in, but my filter was raised too high so the bonnet wouldn't close, so it had to come out. Added a reducer so i could marry to cone filter to the maf sensor housing, and a couple of cable ties to keep it from bouncing around, while i fab up a bracket to use.

And this is the end result:

sounds more throaty now, which is all you are really going to gain from doing this, and i kept the cold air pipe from the front bumper in place, to allow cold air to flow straight to the filter, reducing heat soak where I can.

Hope this helps somewhat

Thanks
