Cruise Control

Post by harvester » Wed Jul 25, 2018 8:53 pm

Has anyone successfully fitted cruise control to a Corsa E on which it was not originally specified. There seems to be plenty written about the Corsa D retrofit however I can’t seem to find any information on fitting this to an E.

The issue is the control is on the steering wheel rather than on a stalk like the D

So it could be a case of having to get a steering wheel with the controls and fit that

Best speak with a dealer and see what parts you need

I think the reason you can't find anything is because all Corsa's now come with Cruise. I think even the lowest of low trims come with it as a standard feature.

If you look at the manual for the page with the dials, locate the Cruise symbol. when you next turn the car ignition on so the dash lights up, if the symbol illuminates, then you have it.

It’s definitely not fitted from the factory. There seems to be plenty of steering wheels with the cruise buttons available on eBay etc so sourcing those shouldn’t be an issue.

After that I guess it depends what else is required.

Again i wouldn't think so as most would have it.....

On top of the steering wheel switch you would need clutch/brake pedal and gearchange sensors + ECU programming which a Main Dealer wouldn't do and a shed load of other things...

Make more sense to change the car to one with it fitted IMHO.....

What Corsa is it, as far as I know every Corsa E since manufacturing began has cruise control even the really cheap one with no air con.
