Engine juddering

Post by LT18 » Fri Nov 23, 2018 1:33 pm

When I start to accelerate, there is a mild engine judder as if the car is struggling. The ESC and “Service ESC” lights and warning appears once Iv started driving for a couple of minutes, followed by the engine light. After a couple of minutes both lights then turn off however the engine judder remains. Any suggestions to what this might be? Iv only bought the car in August and it had 34000 miles.
It is a 2015 1.2 SRI. Cheers.

Most likely a failing coil pack. It's a very common problem.
Replace both the coil pack and the spark plugs.

I know I am a bit late to this one... But exactly those issues happened to me, it was the coil pack. £60 or so later I had a new one and spark plugs, took me 15 mins or so to do.

Hi, also very late! Just for people viewing this as a future reference, if the Service ESC light comes on and the Revs begin to flicker it is a problem with the coil pack. Common issue in the Corsa's, they seem to require maintenance as the spark plugs on mine were eroded when this happened to me, and it was MOT'd at 39,000 miles and this happened when I was at 42,000!

Mine was a rough idle only and all the lights esc / eml ....and it was the oil filler cap not on tight enough causing an air leak 😱
