1.4T 100 Remap

Post by dsy369 » Fri Sep 18, 2020 10:56 pm

Hey guys,
I know this question about remapping has been circulating for a while, but what I wanted to specifically ask is whether the 150bhp variant of the 1.4T shares all the same components as the 100bhp. I've spoken to vauxhall directly and they sent me off to read the owner's manual .
I'm looking at getting a remap next year up to 170bhp from the 100 I currently have, and a boost from 200 to 270NM, however I worried about getting landed with a hefty service bill when the drivetrain and transmission give up under the power gains. Many people have reported bad experiences several weeks or months down the road when needing a new clutch and flywheel.

TL;DR - If the 100 and 150 BHP 1.4T share identical components I'd feel more comfortable knowing my car can handle the increased power. Is this the case?

Just get it done, transforms the car. The pull from 3k to the redline is much improved, the car really does shift. The gear box is a little long geared but it's the M32 which is shared with the VXR. It can take the power and torque of stage one no problem. You could always change the gearbox oil before you map it, only takes about 30 mins.
