Corsa E Tyre Pressures

Post by Toon » Sat Sep 12, 2020 5:42 pm

I bought a 2019 SRi Nav Corsa E with 5500miles 1 week ago
Noticed the tyre light was showing on the dash.
Original tyres and pressure sensors to all wheels
Checked all the pressure and inflated where required to 31psi.
Read also that you should drive for a few miles to get the sensors accepting the new pressures which I did
Tried everything the owners manual stated and looked on internet and cant get the light to go out.
Read somewhere that you have to re programme the 4 tyre sensors with an instrument.
Surely this is not the case every time you have to inflate the tyres?
I would appreciate advice.

Thank you

Did not have a problem with mine, if you've only had it a week, and you got it from a garage, i would take it back and let them have a look at it.

You only have to re programme them if you swap the position of the tyres as in put the fronts on the back etc or use new sensors.
you dont have to drive around they should update very quickly.
I suggest putting 34psi in and see if the light goes out. If not take it back to where you bought it.

I had this problem but is quite easy to fix. Bugger about with the on-board computer until you come across Tyres. There are a few options you need to check. I'm not and never have been a rally driver so I opt for comfort. If you select any other dynamics that warning light will remain until you increase tyre pressure.
I've taken a photo of the appropriate screen but have no idea how to upload it here. Ooops, I think I've found it, hope it appears.

There should be a display message on the Driver Information Centre

What does it say?

Thanks everyone for your contribution regarding removing the tyre icon from the dashboard.
Found the options for the ride.
Reset the options to light load and the tyre light went out
All sorted.
