Give Here Drive+ maps a go. Even works offline.

I use this phone holder and it sits in the middle of my dash. I use google maps.

It is probably in a better position than the intellilink. Mine cost under £3 from eBay and has never fallen off.

I have to admit, intellilink's position for navigation isn't perfect. Would be nice, to get directions (just the nearest one) on display between speedo and tachometer.

A speed bump would easily knock the phone out of that cradle, surely? If not, I'm impressed.

Thanks for this! I just ordered one as I think where you have yours will be in a better place for maps on my phone than a sat nav on the windscreen. I got this one: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/151872486757
