New to this forum and am seeking some advice please?
We have a 2004 Corsa. During the last month, only when it is frosty in the morning, say below 2 degree C, when the engine is started, the EPS light comes on and the steering is basically locked up.
As the early morning sun came onto the car bonnet, and warmed it up, I started the car again and no EPS issues at all.
This happened a couple of mornings. As the battery was the original one from new, we replaced it anyway. All the terminals are clean and all the fuses appear good and pushed right in?
All was good until the last two mornings when the temperature was low again.
This morning when the fault occurred, and the sun was just shining, I revved the engine to 2500rpm for a few seconds, switched the engine off and restarted it and the fault had gone! Not sure if the engine revs are connected to this issue?
Can anyone give me a clue as to what is happening and where I need to be looking?
Thank you in anticipation.
