Have you considered a pre-registered car from a dealer or maybe one that's a 6-12 month old showroom demo with little to no mileage? Can save a fortune on new list price even compared to the discount websites like carwow.

OK you don't get to be the first owner on the log book but your talking thousands potentially you could save.

I got mine at 13 month old, showroom/demo car, 2k miles and pretty much all the extras. £9k - they also had done the first service a month prior.
Same spec on the configurator on Vauxhalls website was over £16k!

Fair enough if you do want brand new, but just another option to consider.

is this the 1.4 Turbo or the N/A? I would recommend any of the two turbo options, the 1.0T is really good! The n/a engines are under-powered and thirsty... very thirsty! The mileage you get with the 1.4 n/a is comparable to the VXR's 2.0T!!!!

It's going to be 1:4 N.A

My wife's 1:4N/A returns 43 to 47 MPG all the time.

This filling the tank to the top ( much to the annoyance of pump attendant) then doing the fill to miles calculation

Who was driving the 1.4NAs doing worse MPG than a 2 litre VXR, Clarkson with bricks on his feet?

I had a 1.4NA as a courtesy car for a couple of week, I found the one I had quite frugal! The trip was showing 54MPG when I got it. I reset it and gave it back two week later showing 47MPG.

My 1.4T to compare does about 38-42MPG on the trip with the same sort of driving. I can push 44-46MPG out of it but I have to be very careful with the throttle inputs and avoid harsh acceleration. Still not bad for what it is, but I'd say the NA's give a little bit more if you drive them right.
