Hi, why would you need an expensive spare alloy wheel rather than a standard wheel....after all it is only a spare spending most of its time unseen.
What car do you have? My corsa sting (17 reg) didn't come with a spare as most these days don't, it came with an inflation kit which I believe is wrong as all new cars ought to come with a spare wheel for me, however I loaded my old corsas spare wheel prior to getting rid (thankfully remembered) which is 15 inch and it has room to spare I'd say at least a 16 inch would fit in boot under carpet.
Why not just have a look and if not sure grab a tape measure.
I think the 17" alloys would fit but if you have the carpet with the extra padding on the back (used in models that have the inflation kit) the carpet will stick up slightly.
I bought a spare steel wheel for my wife's SE and it fits in the wheel well fine, it's the same size as the alloys so no problems. TPMS will think the spare wheel is still in the original position unless you get a new wheel with a sender fitted and have the car re-programmed.
I got a matching 16" alloy for my wife's Corsa Exite
fitted in the boot fine
we did not want to have to rely on the pump supplied
