Heater control.

Post by Limitededition1 » Sun Sep 30, 2018 8:39 pm

Absolutely sick of my sons Corsa. Since new, no warm air into cabin, returned for an ( Adjustment ). No differance, returned for new control cable. Useless as lasted 2 days. Now 2 years later , second service day, cable adjusted again. 1 day later back to normal. How difficult can it be . Spoiled an otherwise lovely car car but at end of PCP deal getting rid of. Help !!!!

I'd haunt them every 2 days till they get it right ... and I'd hurry if the car's warranty is about to end, since the hourly rate will be significant for the repair.

The heater core and it's control is usually a notoriously hard part to work on, on many cars. It's buried deep in the dash and difficult to reach.
It's quite possible the car received only some quick fixes to get it out of the door, instead of a proper fix (i.e. let it be the next guy's problem ...).

Good luck!

Might be the cut off solenoid that's failing. It stops the water from flowing through the heater matrix.
