parking sensors

Post by cattlerustler » Mon Jan 13, 2020 11:29 pm

My sons car has been hit whilst parked and it requires a new bumper, if I find one with parking sensors, are all the cables there? Can the car be reprogrammed? Or am I best to just get a normal bumper?
TIA

The parking sensors are just drilled into the bumper, you can either buy one second hand(might not be the same colour though) and just fit it, buy a brand new one(If its over 3 years old get a service club card, you'll save 25% on parts and fitting) id recommend those options, you can buy a bumper without it buy you’ll then have to pay £400 for VX to fit the looms etc, and time you do that it would be cheapest to buy a brand new one, you might even be lucky to have it in the right colour and it just needs fitting

if you fit parking sensors you will need the button on the dash to activate/deactivate them

They also run through the R4 unit as you can deactivate them that way as well
