Hi all,
Got in my Corsa excite today to go to work... And have no sound from the intellilink system. Assumed it was my iPod but nothing from DAB, normal radio or from my phone either (therefore no calls).
Rang onstar and that worked so definitely not my speakers.

Has there been an update or anything that might have caused this? It's very frustrating!

Cheers!

It will probably work again if you lock the car and ensure the last red light (brake symbol) goes off after 30 sec approx.

All intellilink crap bugs usually go away after the car's had a sleep. Let us know if it recovered.

I have also discovered a reset to factory option in Settings/ Radio Settings that may help but it does lose all presets and BT pairings.

I most certainly is a warranty item. I had my entire R3 intellilink replaced under warranty. Unfortunately the new one was identical in every respect.
If yours has the volume knob centre bottom it is a R4 and they sometimes self-update over the air. If it does not right itself after an overnight shut down with doors locked you can either try disconnecting battery neg terminal for 30 minutes or take it in for warranty fix.

Hi all, I know nothing of cars but my son has a new corsa limited edition, has no audio not even on his indicators, Vauxhall haven't got a clue, and he can't call onstar as has no sound, anyone got an idea what it could be? Tia
All known fixes are already posted earlier in this thread. Unfortunately nothing new to add.

Hi all,
I had the very same problem about half a year ago now so im not too sure i remember how it got fixed in all accuracy, but i took it to a dealership i bought it from and i was helped by one of the VX staff members, what he did to fix the problem was turn off the system competely by holding down the power button then switching it back on again then he held down the skip button right or left (sorry cant really remember) for around 10-15 secs, apparently it was a sort of hard reset and the music instantly started playing again from the radio. -Ben

This has happened to my 65 plate corse 1.4 turbo. I took it to my vuxhall dealer and was advised that it is a known issue and that Vauxhall are in the middle of trying to solve the problem. If you turn to another station then back again the sound does reappear. I know that's not ideal in a brand new car but fingers crossed Vauxhall come up with a fix asap.

66 Plate

I did the:
  • Turn Off

  • Turn ON

  • Hold Power and Right Skip Button

It DID NOT work because I was on DAB Radio.

Make sure you're in FM Radio mode and not DAB

As soon as I tried it in FM Radio mode I heard static through the speakers.
I switch back to DAB and "Hey Presto!"

Hope this helps!
Omg thank you… had no music for nearly 2 weeks but this worked x

Seems to be a common fault with the Corsa and other vauxhall cars for that matter. It's most likely just a software bug. It happened to my friends Corsa. The way we fixed it is to go to FM radio, Long press the next track button and it worked. Hope this is of help to some people. Must say it's bad theres not a software update released to fix this common bug.

I had the same issue this weekend where no sound was coming out of radio and whilst phone would ring I could not hear caller. Thank goodness I found this forum and took the invaluable advice about disconnecting negative on battery, which thankfully did rectify the problem.

Out of interest I phoned my local Vauxhall dealer where I purchased the car today to ask if they knew of a quick fix. I was told that I would need to book the car in, they would carry out diagnostics costing £89.50 yes eighty nine pounds and fifty pence. They would then identify the fault and give me a price for putting it right.

Thank goodness for forums such as this. Many thanks to those that saved me a lot of money - well done.
