Hi all, think I found the problem!

I was experiencing the same issue with my car, I noticed that there was some wobble in the window arm stem. I had a chat with a friend who works at a Vauxhall dealership he thought it could have been an issue with the tensioning grommet (apparently quite a common issue with most Vauxhall cars post 2013).

Low and behold I had a look at the motor mechanism at it seems that the motor had worked it’s way from the grommet. See photo attached:

To fix:

1: remove the two torx screws in the inside handles of the plastic. And gently pry away the plastic panel.

2: using a 6mm socket gently undo the star pattern bolt. Go careful on this, you don’t want to strip the head. (Bizarre bespoke tooling if you ask me)

3: remove the metal tube section of the grommet.

4: place grommet groove into the clip and reinsert the metal tube.

5: align the motor mount and tighten the screw back into place.

6: reattach the plastic panel and screw in the torx screws.
