The first waze beta that works in android auto finally has arrive. Officialy you should have sign up for beta tester in waze.
I haven't so, i download the beta here:

I also have downloaded the last version of Android auto (not from play as it doesn't support my country, Greece officially).
Then in android auto you have an arrow to choose through Google maps or waze.
It looks very good, working fine. I remind that waze has many benefits, police camera etc, but need data when searching for a destination. (You can block data afterwards if you want.)
